Project Reveal // Coconut Grove Coastal Refresh

It's summer and we are feeling allll of the coastal vibes. But let's be honest, the modern coastal and new traditional coastal design aesthetic is all the rage right now and we don't foresee it going anywhere, especially here in South Florida. Especially for clients who are looking for timeless design with a layer of modern. And especially for clients that want warmth, comfort, style and uniqueness all in one design.

Enter: our Coconut Grove coastal refresh. This young family had been living with an unfinished, incohesive style for a bit too long and they were craving more beauty, more function, more 2022 thank you very much. The bones of the house remained as is and the rest we tackled with gumption. All new furniture, art, lighting, styling, wrapped up with a side of love and hustle.

Let's just stop and pay tribute to said unfinished, in cohesive style, starting with the entryway.

We have no words, just pure joy seeing spaces like this because there is so. much. potential.

Cue those fun Instagram reels where we are snapping our fingers like...

More function. More space. More beauty. The ideal entryway for all busy families. The Serena and Lily Driftway Console in coastal blue is clearly the hero. Such joy right when you walk into this home! And the bins make it practical and easy to ensure the 30 pairs of kids - and ahem husband's - shoes get hidden. Bowls and drawers for mail, keys and all the random things that need a home. DONE! And can we talk about this mirror? We are always going to love the arched mirror design.

Next, this. The living room that our clients didn't ACTUALLY want to live in. We didn't blame them.

Yeah, this Coconut Grove living room refresh doesn't need a whole lot of words to accompany this visual before and after, does it?

All we can say is WE LOVE IT. We love the energy, the warmth, the cohesion and function. But that matters not. What matters is the client loves it AND THEY DO THANK YOU GOD!

We didn't have a before photo of the dining room BECAUSE THERE WAS NO DINING ROOM. We magically made this happen. By magic I mean genius creative skills, space planning and prayer. And collaboration and fun. Perfect recipe to create a space for this amazing family to gather, work, host and entertain. The texture, visual story, standout gallery wall and wallpaper combo just gets us. What about you? Can you see yourself having a meal here with friends? ESP at this amazing Caitlin Wilson dining room table?!

And because you know gallery walls are part of every project, here are the sources for this coastal modern gallery wall. SO. DANG. GOOD.

Next up, the kitchen breakfast nook. Before they had a dining table here and it was too big and didn't fit their desired aesthetic so we recommended a custom banquette, practical and sized-appropriate table, paired with the amazing Serena and Lily balboa chair and there you have it.

And last up for now (because there is more, get excited), the exterior of this Coconut Grove Coastal Refresh.

A perfect update for all the summer pool parties and gatherings, right?!

So, are you ready for a coastal modern refresh? Inspired? WE ARE HERE FOR YOU! Tell us what you think of our Coconut Grove project!
